ONE-DAY WALKING TOUR – FOOTHILLS OF MT. MERU - OLDONYO SAPUK VILLAGE
 
The village of Oldonyo Sapuk lies at around 2,000 m above sea level and is located on the foothills of Mount Meru, some 7 km from Arusha town. This tour, which takes approximately 7 to 9 hours, starts from Arusha town and takes you through local villages where the residents grow crops such as coffee, banana, maize and vegetables. The village is inhabited by Waarusha people, who are related to Maasai. There are excellent viewpoints in the area with stunning views.
 
Steep slopes take you to a beautiful waterfall in the Reserve Forest of Mount Meru and while in the village you may visit the primary school and a boma (local house) to learn about the Waarusha culture and traditions.

TWO-DAYS WALKING TOUR – FOOTHILLS OF MOUNT MERU - MULALA VILLAGE
 
Day 1                                                                          
Overnight in campsite/lodge
Morning departure from Arusha and drive to Tengeru. Start your trek by walking up the hill around the villages. Visit various attractions such as the historic graves of the first German missionaries, Karl & Segebrock, who were buried here in front of the church in the 1890s. Walk down to Circumcision River and visit the water falls where blue monkeys play in the trees. Proceed with walking before you reach camp around 2:30 pm. You can relax in camp or stroll around the village experiencing new cultures. There are local bars which you can visit in evening if you are not too tired from hiking!
 
Day 2
After breakfast, learn how to milk a cow. Proceed to walk up the Songoro Hill to the highest point in the village. Here you will have breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and Arusha National Park including Momella Lakes and Lake Duluti. On the way back you will pass coffee and banana farms before finishing your tour by visiting Mulala or Songoro Primary School. Eat lunch before walking back to the main road to connect with transport back to Arusha. (Or Picked up from the camp site for transport back to Arusha.)

TWO-DAYS CULTURAL TOUR – MAASAI PLAINS - MONDULI JUU
 
Day 1                                                                             
Overnight in tents at campsite
This tour starts from Arusha and takes you to Monduli Juu villages (50 km north-west of Arusha town). On reaching Monduli Juu start hiking to the Maasai Plains where Maasai herdsmen graze their cattle. Enjoy the panoramic views of mountains and villages before reaching the boma (Maasai homestead) to watch the return of the herdsmen with their cattle, goats, sheep and donkeys.
 
Day 2
The morning of day 2 is spent hiking among the hills and escarpment of this part of the Great Rift Valley. After a leisurely lunch, continue a cultural exchange with the Maasai people before making your way back to Arusha in the late afternoon.

FOUR-DAYS CULTURAL & HIKING TOUR – LONGIDO MOUNTAIN
 
Day 1                                                                
Overnight at guest house in Longido
This tour starts from Arusha and takes you to Longido Village, located 80 km north of Arusha town. On arrival, we will visit a Maasai home (boma) to learn about their culture and traditional way of life.
 
Day2                                                                        
Overnight in tents at campsite
This morning we will go for a bird-walk on the Maasai Plains, visit the watering holes of Maasai cattle and continue by car to Kimokouwa Village. Here we start our trek to the bottom of Longido Mountain (400 m) and prepare our campsite for dinner and overnight.
 
Day 3                                                
Overnight in tents at campsite or Maasai boma
Today we climb to the top of Longido Mountain (2629 m), which offers wonderful views to Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro as well as over the Maasai Plains to Kenya. The trails (created by buffalo) form narrow footpaths through a dense rainforest. 
 
Day 4
Today we hike through the green Kimokouwa Valley to reach Kimokouwa Village, where your vehicle and driver wait to drive you back to Arusha.
